Using the directory

Muslim Events helps you discover community events. Unless expressly stated, the event organiser is responsible for the event, admission, safeguarding, accessibility, cancellations and refunds. Following a registration link takes you to the organiser or its booking provider; their terms and privacy policy apply.

Listings are compiled from public announcements and organiser submissions. Dates, times, venues, availability and prices can change, and automated extraction can make mistakes. Confirm final details with the organiser before travelling or paying. A map pin can be approximate. When no price is supplied, the directory displays Free by default; this is not confirmation from the organiser.

Use the website lawfully. Do not submit misleading information, material you have no right to share, malicious links or sensitive personal information. Nothing on this page excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Read about consumer rights at the ACCC ↗

Privacy & browser storage

Event and advertising submissions include the details you enter, an uploaded poster and your contact email. The email is used by the site owner to review and arrange the listing, placement and payment; it is not displayed on public event tiles. Correction reports store the event reference, issue, description and submission time. Please leave sensitive information out of posters, descriptions and reports.

Device saves, followed organisations, interests, theme and some discovery preferences are stored in this browser. Clearing browser storage removes those local preferences. Account registration is optional: with your confirmation, we store your name, authenticated login email, registration time and account saves on the server. Your name and email are visible to the site administrator; account saves are restricted to the signed-in account. Sign-in is provided by ChatGPT. Signing out does not clear device saves. If you choose to share your location, it is used to calculate nearby events and may be saved in local preferences; you can decline permission or clear browser storage.

Basic website analytics record page paths, event or ad references, actions such as views and outbound clicks, timestamps and a random session identifier. The analytics records created by this application do not store your IP address, email or account identity. Session identifiers are held in session storage and help estimate visits; these counts are not confirmed ticket sales.

Account profiles, account saves, submissions, reports and analytics are stored with the website’s hosting services and can be accessed through the protected owner workspace. There is currently no automatic deletion period configured for those records. Hosting and sign-in providers may process technical request information under their own policies. External maps, fonts, social platforms and booking services receive normal browser request information when loaded or visited, and may process data outside Australia.

Featured events & advertising

Standard community submissions are free. Featured rates are A$15 for an event submitted here before it is announced elsewhere, and A$25 for an already announced or existing directory event. First-announcement eligibility is checked during review. Featured placement is for up to seven days or until the event starts, whichever comes first. Banner ads have a rate of A$75 for seven days.

Submitting a request does not charge you or automatically publish anything. Availability, timing, the final fee and payment arrangements are confirmed before a paid placement begins. Featuring changes visibility and ordering; it does not guarantee reach, registrations, ticket sales or endorsement of an organiser. Any cancellation or refund arrangement for a paid placement must be confirmed before payment, without limiting applicable consumer rights.

Sources, posters & corrections

Posters, logos and source material remain the property of their respective rights holders. Listings link to the original announcement and registration source where available. Muslim Events is not affiliated with Instagram, Meta or every organisation listed.

If details are wrong, an event is cancelled, or you own material you want corrected or removed, open the event and choose Report incorrect details. Use Other for a poster or rights issue and identify the material and requested change. Reports are reviewed by the site owner and do not automatically alter a listing.
